Six Tips to Fight Foot Pain by Liz Olsen

Six Tips to Fight Foot Pain

We’ve all had it for one reason or another. You’re on your feet all day. You come home, get in bed and your feet are throbbing…or worse, blisters. You wonder how you will ever fall asleep. According to discoveryhealth.com, “overworked feet…in a single day…absorb about 1,000 pounds of force.” And then we women shove our feet into shoes that are tight, pointy, with heels currently higher than the gross national debt of some countries. How can we take care of our feet?

Top 7 Perfumes for Spring by Sarah Ingram

Top 7 Perfumes for Spring

I live in Los Angeles, where it is sometimes difficult to tell exactly when spring starts, but I grew up on the East Coast, in the New York and DC areas, where there is usually little doubt when winter ends and spring begins. In the Northeast it’s all about crocuses and tulips, dogwoods and lilacs. In DC, there seem to be acres and acres of tulips and daffodils, not to mention the famous cherry trees. No matter where I live, spring to me means flowers and a new start. So every March I start to think about spring cleaning and I head to the flower market to buy daffodils and pussy willows and tulips.

Try Not to Look as Bad as You Feel by Mitzi Druss

Try Not to Look as Bad as You Feel

I usually like my columns to start with a (hopefully) funny/witty story about my dating life and make some product selections based on what I use in that scenario. Well, truth is, the last few months have been pretty miserable as well as my love life. I had my ex, who I was still sleeping, with drop me for a 25 year old. A miserable flu that turned into fluid on my heart with a four day hospitalization. And then some running off to Vegas at the drop of a dime to deal with my father’s advancing Alzheimer’s. Top that all off with some good ole fashioned financial troubles and this little “Wake up to makeup girl” doesn’t even feel like getting out of bed sometimes, nonetheless putting on a whole face.

Vanity Insanity by Mitzi Druss

Vanity Insanity

Okay so you have a sorta date/hanging out and doing some writing at a coffee shop with a guy you have a crush on who seems to be interested in only having a fling because a few years back you dated his brother. (Okay, maybe this isn’t you but stay with me here.) Your goal:  to look amazing without looking like you really tried (surely sometimes this is you!) and of course, win him over with your dazzling wit/charm and inability to put out unless in a committed relationship.
