The Guy Files: What Question(s) Do You Wish Your Woman Would Never Ask? by John Siscel

The Guy Files: What Question(s) Do You Wish Your Woman Would Never Ask?

The average man speaks 2,000 words a day. The average woman speaks 20,000 words a day. Discrepancy, anyone? Fact is that women talk way more than men and they tend to wind up asking questions that men dread. But which ones do men fear the most? I asked a few guys to find out.

Ask John: Why Won’t My Man lead? by John Siscel

Ask John: Why Won’t My Man lead?

Dear John,

The car I’d been driving since college recently died. Though I was sorry to see it go, I knew it was coming. And I expect my boyfriend, a gear head, would help me pick out  a new one and maybe do all the negotiating, searching, etc for me. But he did NOTHING. He didn’t even go with me to test drive them.

The Guy Files: The 411 on Monogamy/Infidelity by John Siscel

The Guy Files: The 411 on Monogamy/Infidelity

With Tiger Woods and Jesse James making the headlines lately there’s been a lot of talk about men and monogamy. Or rather the apparent lack thereof. Is infidelity inevitable? Can men be monogamous? Are women more or less likely to stay faithful than men? I decided to ask some guys to find out their thoughts.

Ask John: Couch Potatoes, Facebook and Beyond by John Siscel

Ask John: Couch Potatoes, Facebook and Beyond

Dear John,

My boyfriend doesn’t like to do new things. He doesn’t like to travel, go to a club or even a concert. A perfect night for him - staying at home, ordering in food and watching “Whale Wars” or “Deadliest Catch”. I have visions of us going wine tasting or the Hollywood Bowl. I don’t want to be the “never gonna happen” couple. How can I get him to be more adventurous?! More classy?

Ask John: The Wandering Eyes Have it… by John Siscel

Ask John: The Wandering Eyes Have it…

Dear John,

My man has a wandering eye and it’s driving me nuts! I mean, I know he loves me, and he’s completely devoted to me and the kids. I don’t ever think he’d cheat on me, but why is he constantly checking out other girls and how can I make him stop?

The Guy Files: The 411 On Getting Him To Say “I do”

Look at you, Ms. Thing! You found a great guy and the two of you are hopelessly in love. You’ve successfully had the “State of the Union Address” with him and it went smashingly. You look at him and you see more than a boyfriend.

Ask John: I’m Between a Rock and a Not So Hard Place by John Siscel

Ask John: I’m Between a Rock and a Not So Hard Place

Dear John,

I think my man might have a problem “down there.” It’s not quite working like it should. I think it might be time for him to talk to his doctor about it, maybe get a prescription. It’s not a big deal to me, I just want him to get a prescription so we reignite our sex life. How can I get him to go to the doctor?

The Guy Files: Top Five Things Men Do Wrong in Relationships by John Siscel

The Guy Files: Top Five Things Men Do Wrong in Relationships

So I thought for this column I would change it up a bit. In previous columns I have focused on what women could be doing better in relationships and that could lead to you, the trusted and loyal reader, getting the wrong impression. So I figured the only appropriate thing to do was turn the tables. So here we go….the top five things men do wrong in relationships:

The Other Woman…. by Julie Sebenoler

The Other Woman….

I just can’t compete. I just can’t compete with HER, that is.

Who, you ask, is this “other woman?” I’ll explain. My friend recently wrote that he was spending his weekend trying to find a new GIRLL. Of course, it was a typo—he meant GRILL—but it made me stop and think. What is the deal with men and their grills? It was then that I realized, my husband is having an affair. With his “GIRLL.”
