Back to School Blues

School. Ugh.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited to see everybody and everything, but…there’s only so much excitement one can have for school. Going back means back to tight schedules, back to late homework nights, back to constant exhaustion and anxiety.

Growing Up Magical

So I count myself as pretty lucky.

Why you ask? Well, a number of reasons, but mostly because I grew up with Harry Potter.

Meeting the Stars of the Marielle and Daphne Show

In the words of Big TV “Meet the cutest 13-year olds in Los Angeles!” How true that is. I am talking, of course, about the stars of the new web show The Marielle and Daphne Show on Big TV. Spend just five minutes with these girls, and their infectious, bubbly personality is apparent. I recently had the chance to do just that.

Asking A Guy Out

So I’ve been thinking about something lately. Why do men seem to be under the impression that they are somehow superior and that they rule the world? When was this decision made? Who was the one who decided that guys were always in charge? Well, a man obviously. Now, not all guys feel this way…

Imagining Our Wedding Day

Your wedding day should be the best day of your whole life. Every girl dreams of their wedding day. The location will be gorgeous, the food will be delicious, the DJ will rock the house, and the guy…sigh. He will be perfect in every way. But do things ever go the way you plan them? I would like to say yes, but sadly, I know this isn’t the case. In my experience, parties and occasions always turn out differently from the way you envision them. For example, you invite your friends over, everything is going well, and then BAM! Katie and Susie are screaming at each other over Billy, and Marsha is off crying in the corner because Emily says she likes Mary more than her. Drama.

We Hate Mondays Too!

Monday mornings are impossible. I wake up, and I feel glued to my bed. It’s warm and comfy, and right now in Pittsburgh it’s getting really cold. The absolute last thing I wanna do is take off my covers and drag my butt out of bed. I could probably sleep all day if I had the time. Everyone has their Monday morning gripes, no matter what. But teenagers in America all have the same thought going through their head on Monday mornings: “Ugh, its Monday. That means school.”

Power to the Ladies

How many times in your life have you stood by your friends and felt that female bond that ties you all together? We all know what I’m talking about. It’s that feeling of unity, that sense of self within the group, the knowledge that your friends are there for you no matter what. It’s girlpower.

The L–Word…When do you Say I love You?

I love you.  Three simple words.  You say them when you mean them.  All girls feel love at some point in their lives, in some form, for someone, so it should be a pretty basic thing, right?  Wrong.
