The Fashion Wink: Kick Some Fall Ass with Khaki by Liz Olsen

The Fashion Wink: Kick Some Fall Ass with Khaki

You may not think you can wear it, but the hottest fashion color this fall looks fantastic on everyone. And I’m not talking about anything remotely beige, I mean olive drab, military green…wonderful khaki! Along with the color comes some aviator chic and military styling that’s fresh and exciting, especially in coats and jackets adorned with brass buttons and epaulettes.

Saks Fifth Avenue Goes Big by Cate Henry

Saks Fifth Avenue Goes Big

For the first time, 16 luxe designers are venturing into plus sizes and Saks will carry them this fall. Soon you’ll see sizes 12 and 14 (I know, hardly plus) and depending on the style, even up to size 20. The New York store will be the first to cross the threshold into XX-land, but if all goes well, expect to see it all over the country.

Caught In The Crosshairs by Liza Hippler

Caught In The Crosshairs

Have you ever noticed that Target seems to have its own gravitational pull, particularly the “super” version? And that it’s SERIOUSLY strong? Back in the pre-teen years, it was the opposite.

Why Fake It? by Diane Driscoll

Why Fake It?

Ooh, the attraction was there, the lust. It hit you hard and it was smoking hot. Suddenly, your imagination ran wild. How would we feel, look, fit? The moment was in your reach…then, wait-stop-don’t-do-it-damn! You faked it. A “no no” in bed and also in the bargain world and that’s what I’m talking about – fake goods, counterfeits, the knock off Louis Vuitton bags, Oliver Peoples sunglasses and Rolex watches that are becoming epidemic in this economy.

The High-Heeled Clog v.2010 by Cate Henry

The High-Heeled Clog v.2010

Clogs are loved for their comfort (ask any nurse)…but now, thanks to the houses of Prada, Mui Mui and Louis Vuitton, the demure little clog hit the runways on a whole new level that screams sexy.

Martin & Osa 50% Off at Select Stores

I’m sad to see a store I’ve come to love close their doors. Especially when you think they made it through the economic downturn and now that we’re shopping again, they go. Martin & Osa is under the American Eagle umbrella and their 28 stores are going out of business.
