Makeup Trends for Fall
As they say via text messaging, OMG!!!!! If anyone has a spare moment, run don’t walk to your nearest retailer carrying Guerlain and take a look at the new Fall 2010 Color Collection. One word describes this collection…FLAWLESS!!!!
Since I live in Texas, many of you may know that we have four seasons here as well. Almost summer, summer, still summer and Christmas. This new fall color collection could not have arrived at a better time. Now, at least I can imagine fall getting a bit closer.
Guerlain’s Fall 2010 Collection is appropriately named “68 Champs Elysees” after the magical address of the famous House of Guerlain in Paris. The collection pays tribute to the French glamour and joie de vivre that is the magic of Guerlain.
The new luxurious eyeshadows, Écrin 6 Couleurs Eye Shadow Palette, come in five color collections, each bearing the name of a Guerlain boutique address in Paris: 68 Champs Elysees, 93 Rue de Passy, 29 Rue de Sevres, 2 Place Vendome and 10 Rue des Francs-Bourgeois.
I was in Paris last month and was able to again visit our 68 Champs Elysees address (breathtaking, and a must see whenever anyone makes a visit to Paris) and the new 10 Rue des Francs-Bourgeois address in the Marais district (simply stunning in a modern yet luxurious environment). I felt compelled to shop and when I walked out wanting to buy more, I knew I was in NIRVANA!!!!!!
The eyeshadow collections contain precious browns, tempting taupes, intense indigos, iridescent ivories, vibrant violets and graduations of taupes and greys. Each compact gives you the ability to do a tone on tone “natural” look by using two of the more neutral colors: one on the lid, the other in the crease. Step the look up to a “couture” look by now adding a darker color at the outer edge or a “pop” color at the center of the lid or as a liner. At the end of your work day, take the look to “smokey” by using the darkest shadow at the outer corner for more depth. The rich cake liner adds that touch of seduction on the upper lash line (an added plus is that the compact comes with a brush with two sides, one for applying and blending and the other for lining!!!) With matte, satin and iridescent formulations in one compact, there will never be room for a faux-pas!!!
If this is not enough to tempt you, the lipsticks, lip glosses and blushes are in a league of their own, and again, move your mouse, drive your car, or walk your pretty self to your nearest retailer that carries Guerlain and check out the Fall 2010 color collection!!!! Until it cools, stay cool. Since I am in the south, Iced Tea is appropriate for all meals in this hot weather and apparently everyone starts drinking it when they are two!!! They do like a little tea with their sugar though!!!!
