Case Studies: When do I Bring a Hostess Gift? by Casey Benson

Case Studies: When do I Bring a Hostess Gift?

Dear Case,

A friend of mine recently invited me over for dinner, along with a few of her other friends whom I am acquainted. Throughout the evening, each guest had separately asked me what I brought for the hostess. I am certain it wasn’t her birthday or another special occasion, and I thought it peculiar to expect that I would bring something. Even if I had, what business of theirs was it?

Homemade Holiday Gift Giving by Leslie McKenna

Homemade Holiday Gift Giving

Something from the heart!

Every year “they” (those who promote all things commercial and holiday related) seem to keep moving Christmas promotions earlier and earlier. Ten Gifts That Give Back by Diane Driscoll

Ten Gifts That Give Back

No tool from Black&Decker could I find for prostate cancer research, no cute girly tee to help the MS Society…sigh. What is wrong with retailers?! Seriously. But below are really cute offerings by companies we love because they are doing something to make a difference.

“Breaking the Bank” is Not a Christmas Carol by Diane Driscoll

“Breaking the Bank” is Not a Christmas Carol

(Nor should it be your shopping goal)

If you’ve ever had a case of the “Januaries” you know how horrible they are: doubled over with bills, living on packs of ramen noodles, panicking as you drive to work on fumes.
