Coffee Break French

Fun Podcasts to Learn a New Language

With just 20 minutes a day…the time it takes to break for coffee you can learn a language for free. Or even just brush up on one you haven’t practiced since high school. Coffee Break Podcasts are available on iTunes and you’ll love Mark and Anna, the two Scottish hosts that take you through your lessons.

Mark is the “professor” and Anna learns along with you. I can’t decide if it’s the happy theme music or their accents that make me smile as I learn. Mark’s pronunciation and knowledge base is dead on as he takes you through all the paces to become conversational in all the main languages the Coffee Break Series offer: French, German, Italian and Spanish and over sixteen other languages available.

Student Anna and Instructor Mark

Anna has a lovely question in her voice as she answers Mark with each assignment, helping you to not feel like a fool as you learn or brush up on these foreign languages.  They go at just the perfect pace and work you way through the 80 lessons each 15-20 minutes long. so that within a month or two, you will be very conversational in the language.

With only a semester in college of French and a semester abroad in Spain, French was not a language I knew but had always wanted to. I totally enjoy listenting to the podcast in my car or while cleaning my place. For those of you longing to learn Italian since reading Eat, Pray, Love then here’s you’re chance. Mandarin? It’s there. A little Portuguese…a lovely language to the ear…there for the learning. All perfect to pick up the basics to travel anywhere you’d like to go and more!

Check out all the languages brought to you by Radio Lingua Network, including supplemental learning materials on their website, or simply go to iTunes and download a few podcasts et commencer à parler français, oui!
