Hi. I want to introduce myself. My name is Bill. Bill Deasy. My campaign slogan when I ran for class president in 8th grade was “Vote for D and the rest is EASY,” which won me the election by the way. I barely edged out a girl who would later become my wife – but that’s another story.
I’m a musician, a songwriter, and a singer. I write novels and screenplays and nonfiction books about trains for a railroad museum in my home state of Pennsylvania.
I’m a husband and a dad, a son and a brother – sometimes a friend.
I’m a sober alcoholic and a barely Catholic Catholic.
My first concert was Elvis Presley on New Year’s Eve, 1976, which makes me slightly older than I want you to think that I am.
I’m absurdly sensitive, yet sometimes numb and a little bit stupid.
I process things slowly. Like Vatican-slowly. Like “Didn’t we have that argument three years ago?” slowly.
I opened for Bob Dylan once. I’m not so into vegetables.
I wrote my first song when I was 12. It was called “She’s a Big Jerk” and was about, you guessed it, my future wife.
But like I said, that’s another story.

haha “She’s a Big Jerk.” I’d love to hear that haha
