Snow Princess

Environmental Factors Call For Record Breaking Snowfalls

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Is your snow princess outfit ready? Those in the northeast were so lucky to have the first snowfall in October – note: the first snowfall EVER in Central Park in October - 2.9 inches is not exactly a light dusting. My Snow Princess outfit is a short white wool/silk blend dress with long wide sleeves. The dress ties below my bust and has a v-neck. To complement it, I wear white leggings, high lace-up beige snow boots with platform heels and lots of Swarovski crystals. And, if the occasion calls for it, my tiara is polished and ready to go! Let it snow!

NYC Snow Fashion

But seriously, 2.9 inches in Central Park in October? What’s going on here? Last year NYC was snow bound five times, with 60 plus inches of snow. Do you need snow shoes to prepare for this winter? Yes! Do you need to plan for power outages? Yes! Do you need two weeks of supplies? YES ALWAYS!

The ‘chatter’ from meteorologists is debris from the Icelandic volcano, Eyjafjallajokull, that erupted in 2010, and the smaller volcano, Grimsvotn, that erupted last May, is in the atmosphere and spinning around the top of the globe causing snowstorms in the northeast – last year approximately every two and half weeks. The debris acts as a reflective mirror and keeps moisture in and heat out, i.e. snow. But, whatever is causing it – get ready!!!

Let’s enjoy it, get snowshoes and meet me in the park, or better yet, let’s meet in Vermont and go skiing!!!
