The third annual Fashion Night Out on September 8th is the kickoff of Fashion week in cities all over the U.S. and the world. For us, it’s New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Georgetown, Chicago and more as this fashion party gets rolling. Stores and shopping centers will be offering a slew of deals, make overs and events to get us gals there gawking and shopping the new fall clothes.
Many department stores in major cities will have designers and celebrities hosting their events with cocktails and hors d’ouvres to put us in a good mood. What could be better?!
New York:
Macy’s boasts personal appearances by Tommy Hilfiger, Rachel Roy, Bobbi Brown, Kelly Rowland, “Pretty Little Liars” actress Shay Mitchell, and models Coco Rocha and Karolina Kurkova. Also a live performance from Joss Stone and get a cookbook signed by Sandra Lee.
Bergdorf Goodman will have Oscar de la Renta. Fab! Saks Fifth Avenue will have actress Tilda Swinton, hair stylist Frederic Fekkai and designer Yigal Azrouel on hand. Also, Ne-Yo will be launching his hat collection there. And Rachel Zoe will be appearing at Bloomingdales…ba-na-nas!
Sephora is hosting events at its nine NYC locations. Stars scheduled to appear include Kate Walsh, Kat Von D with her own makeup line sold there, Josie Maran and “True Blood” actress Kristen Bauer. Los Angeles:
I happen to think it’s all about Rodeo Drive having been there last year! Every shop was a party with some good celeb gazing. I sipped champagne all night and dined on LA’s best food trucks on the closed streets. Cirque du Soleil will be performing in the street this year. (P.S. I got the best deal at Missoni so check it out!)
Reality TV star Lauren Conrad will launch her newest collection, Paper Crown, which is pretty amazing, at Nordstrom at the Grove. The Beverly Center has Nicole Richie hosting one of two runway shows at the mall. Actress Rachel Bilson at Sunglass Hut talking fashion tips and helping you pick the perfect pair of shades.
Las Vegas:
In true Las Vegas style, two hotels & casinos offer Fashion Night Out packages: Trump International Hotel and the Palms Hotel & Casino. They’re offering cocktail events, FNO swag bags, VIP access to clubs and restaurants and Fashion’s Night Out event guide listing the 100-plus in-store events, special offers and shopping incentives available throughout the weekend. For more information on what’s happening at Fashion Show Mall, it’s all here. And don’t forget to drop in on our own weBEgirls writer and Dior National Makeup Artist, Kevianno Guerrero, at the Dior Makeup Boutique in Caesars Palace for some fierce fall makeup looks!
Georgetown:
D.C.ers can head to this posh district for their celebrations. Lush is going full on Roller Derby with some roller derby girls doing a demo. There’ll be a dancing flash mob at Urban Artistry. Dean & Deluca will have you making flower arrangements, sip some wine and dance to a DJ and all through the Wisconsin and M streets area stores will be open late to get your shop on. Don’t forget to hit the photo booth with friends and see you pic projected onto the building walls!
Chicago:
Â
If you’re in the windy city, stop by Top Shop’s new Chicago location and enjoy a hair and beauty makeover on the house.
