“New Year, New You…” we have all heard that saying before, but I encourage you to ask yourself: how is 2012 REALLY going to be different than the past years? How are you workouts and diet going to change so you don’t keep doing the same thing with the same outcome…and no results? Like many of us, obstacles slow our progress; the holidays come into our lives, a few vacations, a marriage, maybe divorce, some kids, and well…LIFE HAPPENS. We never go to bed skinny and wake up fat…but slowly the pounds creep on…and those jeans that seemed so loose just won’t button!
Do you have those last 10-15 pounds to lose that won’t come off no matter what you do? Well, it is time to step up our “Health Game” in every aspect to fight against the weight that our body is so comfortable staying at, and prove to ourselves that we are stronger, faster, more motivated and determined than we thought we ever could be!
I want you to ask yourself…How is this year going to be different that the last? How will you make your New Year’s Resolution last longer than the weekend of Superbowl? (Yes, that is in February!). What habits are you going to start so they become a lifestyle, and not a fad?
We are powerful beyond measure, we are capable of so many amazing things, so why is it so hard to set our mind to getting to our goal weight? I encourage all of you to really dig deep, ask yourself what is holding you back. Let’s encourage each other along the way, keep each other accountable, and celebrate our small successes along the way.
Ask yourself the following questions:
1.) What are my health and fitness goal(s) for 2012?
2.) What obstacles mentally and emotionally are keeping me from achieving my goals?
3.) What are my greatest assets that are going to get me to my goals?
4.) What would it feel like to not think about my weight and feel fully content with my body image?
