Being Dior’s National Makeup Artist and having worked on thousands of beautiful faces, maybe even yours, you keep a few tricks up your sleeve to make your clients positively glow. But my motto is share the beauty, share the knowledge so we can all look and feel our best. Here’s my five favorites that hopefully will become yours too:
1. I always love mixing a tiny bit of eye cream with Dior Nude Concealer or any concealer. It creates such a dewey radiant look around the eyes and prevents the skin from looking dry or caked. How will you know if your concealer has that problem? If when you apply concealer and your eye lines become more emphasized then you know that you need to add eye cream or switch out your brand.
2. I like to balance out mascara colors by applying black on top of lashes and brown mascara on the bottom. This effect gives dramatic effect on top of eye and a softer look under the eyes. You can also do this with eyeliner pencil – deeper, warmer colors on top line and brighter colors underneath.
3. I enjoy mixing a pump of my favorite Dior Multi-perfection Concentrated Serum with foundations to give them a extra boost of radiance and skin enhancement once it goes on the skin. It’s like a super booster charged foundation that looks younger on the skin any time of the year. And after all, we all want that youthful glow, and the serum works double duty by adding a surface radiance but also works deep-down to the very heart of the skin to reactivate all of the skin’s youth functions
4. Want to create a long wearing lipstick? Line and fill the lip with a liner that matches closest to the lipstick shade then apply one coat of lipstick, blot then reapply and enjoy the long wear effect. I know many of us threw out our lip liners when that, well… ghastly trend of darker lip liner came into fashion. But the truth is lip liners are key to beautiful lips so do embrace them again.
5. Instantly brighten any eye color by applying a light color (preferably yellow or white hue) illuminating eye shadow in the inner cavity pocket of the upper and lower eye . This will brighten and give an instant awakening effect.
What I love about all of these tips are they are simple and don’t take a lot of makeup expertise to get the results you want. Embrace them and your beautiful self… and check out my Facebook page for more tips!
