When I graduated a couple of years ago my professor told us all to stay in school for as long as possible, that there were no jobs out there for us and that we had nothing to look forward to for a very long time. After graduating at the top of my class, I filled out hundreds of applications, worked three part time jobs and was lucky enough to get a couple of interviews (with employers looking to hire full time) who decided to take a month to tell me I didn’t get the position or figured that I preferred no notification whatsoever.
