If you love flowers and grew up in the Midwest or the Northeast at this time of year your thoughts are likely turning to lilacs. I grew up in Connecticut, and one whiff of a lilac blossom will immediately transport me nostalgically back to the springs of my childhood.
As we move outdoors, we start to think of what we want our gardens to look like this summer. Which flowers and plants worked well and thrived last year, which varieties we’d like to add, and which areas we’d like to improve.
