I Am Not My Mistakes

We all make mistakes. It’s how you react to the mistakes you make that makes the difference. Do you “wake up” or “shut down”?

Let’s just put it out there that I made two, in my mind, major mistakes this weekend that will cost me money.

Surviving the Holidays—Really

Yes, it is that time of year, folks. Time to be jolly, eat tons of food and spend money. Woo hoo – bring it on! As soon as we see those costumes and candy for sale at Target – we know that the turkey paraphernalia and Christmas push is upon us.

Do You Focus on What You’ve Lost?

If you do, you’re not alone. It’s called “sunk-cost” and we are genetically hard wired to think that way…until now. Sunk-cost “refers to any cost (not just monetary, but also time and effort) that has been paid already and cannot be recovered.

Being “INTERESTED” vs. Being “INTERESTING”

This concept really resonated with me. If I were to be truly honest – I would have to say that most of my life I concentrated on BEING INTERESTING. Do you like me? Do you think I am pretty? Do you think I am smart enough, funny enough, fun enough?
